With everyday temptations like dollar menus at fast food restaurants and deliciously greasy dinner specials, desiring tasty meals can become a constant game of give and take. The Nutrisystem diet program is designed to combat the fight that goes on when eating healthy and eating for satisfaction collide. Other diets require people to restrict themselves to eating certain foods, taking expensive supplements, and avoiding meals that satisfy the appetite for most of the day. Upon reviewing a couple commercials and reading up on this diet program, Nutrisystem has the ability to make dieting very easy and affordable. The system has a variety of plans to choose from to suit individual needs. The food is prepackaged and processed, so if you already use the “microwave” way of preparing most of your meals, then all you need to do to easily lose weight without sacrificing taste or starving yourself is to change out the current frozen dinners with the Nutrisystem selection. The food is filled with good carbs, high fiber, zero trans fat, and low sodium which is necessary to lose weight while still eating enough to be satisfied. The cost of the food ranges from seven to ten dollars a day which isn’t bad at all considering that many people who get their lunch at the

depression is a complex inflammatory disorder. The biochemical imbalances are due to environmental/gneetic interactions. It is important to understand the patient. Which environmental (Diet, nutrients, stress, xenobiotic exposure and physical activity) are interacting with genes to create underlying biochemical imbalances? What are the chemical mediatros involved? Meds are never the way, they only mask the symtpoms (if at all) You dont seem to understand the environmental/gene interaction

That’s why I’m depressed…I’m not eating bananas everyday. I’m going to make it a goal to eat two bananas a day with oatmeal, I have to make this a habit because I suffered depression for 3 years.

I believe it…you are what you eat.

Yes, you did quote it correctly. I am glad you liked it; as a person who has dealt with depression since the age of 13 I feel I know a thing or two and I am more than happy to offer advice if I can. Thank you for the post & compliment. God bless and be well. :)

  11. BornIntoTheGrave says:

Good positive thoughts. I liked when you said, “Mind, Body & Spirit…We must take care of all 3 in order to be healthy. ” I used it as a quote: on Twitter & Facebook, hope that’s alright :)

    DAYOOOO

  13. 111smilesalot says:

Bare in mind that we are made up of 3 components – Mind, Body & Spirit…we must take care of all 3 in order to be healthy. Especially when dealing with a mental illness such as depression that has no known cure. Body: healthy diet, exercise &/or medication. Mind: counseling or some sort of self help. Spiritual: Meditation &/or prayer. None of these things will cure depression but it certainly will help you get a handle on it and make life a lot easier.

@gr8phuk; Oh and uhh.. Just so you know, i’ll educate you on something – Vitamin B supplements can actually harm the well being of people with depression and anxiety. It puts you on edge and gives you even more anxiety, therefor you are more likely to lash out at people and have mood swings. Normal people taking Vitamin B? Good to go. Depression is a major chemical fault in the brain, bananas and whey protein ain’t doing chit to help that.

  17. AxRhea88 says:

@gr8phuk; Dude. You sound like a moron. Give a depressed person a banana and a whey protein shake, tell them it will help their depression, and there going to throw it all in your face and tell you to fuck off. Are you serious? That’s your answer to hardcore depression? People need medication and counseling to reverse hard times in their life not fucking food. It might just keep NORMAL serotonin levels stable but nothing else. Get real man.

  18. gr8phuk says:

Bananas contain B6 which allows tryptophan to be converted to serotonin.

  19. gr8phuk says:

@AxRhea88 You really don’t have a clue what your talking about! Whey protein has amino acids in it which create serotonin from tryptophan in it, and bananas too have serotonin and vitamin B6 which help it cross the blood brain barrier.

Tons of studies have concluded that both whey protein and bananas and many other foods that contain tryptophan in it help tremendously with anxiety and depression.

Check your facts before espousing your ignorance…hope this enlightens you.

  20. EricSchwin22 says:

Ate a banana everyday for 6 years now…Breakfast: I eat peanut butter, 2 bananas, and a cup of Green tea everyday for breakfast to get me going throughout the day and I must say that I felt a lot better…the saying is true that you’re what you eat, so eat healthy you guys.

  21. AxRhea88 says:

To keep anxiety and depression at bay.. hang out with friends. Weight lift and run. Eat healthy and stay away from things that could trigger negative thoughts and feelings. Of course you will not accomplish this completely but it will certainly help. Oh, and SLEEP and takes naps, and work to keep your mind off your problems and to be around people. And yeh.. a banana a day.

  22. AxRhea88 says:

If your truly very depressed and anxiety ridden, whey protein and bananas ain’t gonna do shit. lmao. It will help people from feeling that ‘down’ and/or in the dumps feeling but if you’ve ever felt anxiety (which in my opinion is just.. fucking horrible compared to depression even the though they go hand in hand) whey protein aint helping anyone.

  27. goldprosp says:

You must work for Nutrisystem, like most of the other posts. The other side of the story is the food is terrible. Several of the meals the box tastes better than the meal. I also found several meals that were moldy. If you used the free shipping offer you will be billed $56.00 in order to quit.

  29. anarchopinko says:

@RSixBoy – I laugh at people like you who don’t understand the problems that obese people may have. I work 15 hours (and often on the weekend) and do not have time to grocery shop, cook, and exercise. I needed to lose weight and nutrisystem saves me time. It is not a magic solution but it is a time saver – all it is is pre-packaged portion controlled meals with the nutrients your body needs planned out for a month. They don’t. to my knowledge, claim that it is anything more than that.

not going to lie at 0:12 that double double looked excellent

  31. Biogirl52 says:

    You don’t get snacks….

  32. RSixBoy says:

shit like nutrisystem is a retarded get lean quick scheme. I fucking laugh at the fat asses who look for quick schemes only to lose weight(not just fat) temporarily and only to gain it all back +5 more pounds once they get off it. Heres a tip: Eat properly and exercise

  33. kartsart9112 says:

Maybe nutrisystem tastes so bad it doesnt want you to eat anymore and maybe thats how you lose weight? Cuz you eat this shit you wana barf and you lose your appetite for the whole day.And btw all those foods are processed which isnt so healthy and most of those meals look like theyd give you weight not make you lose weight . Thats not all you know sometimes they dont even give you what they ordered!

  34. c0gg says:

Agreed… but your comment is the funniest thing I’ve heard all week. You should be a professional comedian. (^^,)

  35. McKeownFamily says:
