its definitely a struggle…but it is becoming easier everyday! if you have a probably with overeating, I suggest finding a support group. its actually really fun and a good time! and its nice to know you aren’t the only one with food issues. hope this helps anyone out there who also struggles. and thanks for all the support…I REALLY REALLY mean it! xo trish

@JordyMac18 Curvy isn’t the same thing as overweight. It’s a body type. Both skinny and fat girls can be curvy.

I love doing weight watchers. I actually just started again today. If you decide to go full on with the weight watchers let me know ! I know all the Yummy stuff that’s not a lot of points. Hehehe
However, that’s only part of the problem. Knowing this, you’d think I could avoid overeating by simply staying away from those foods. However, I also have a mind problem: it keeps telling me that I can go back to those foods, and that this time, I’ll be able to eat normally. But when I do go back to them, I start eating compulsively again. The only way I’ve found to address this mind problem it to work the twelve steps, because they remove this obsession of wanting to go back to the food.
It took me a few months to find a sponsor and start working the steps, but I thank God that I did. There’s a great website which I strongly recommend. Google “OA Big Book Study”. There’s an incredible podcast at the bottom of the page, given by a gifted OA speaker who really helped me understand my disease. I discovered that it is two-fold. First, I have a body which has an abnormal reaction to certain foods. Most people get full when they’ve eaten enough, but I just want MORE.(cont’d)
I watched your two OA videos and I can really relate. I never had a big weight problem, but I hated the fact that I simply couldn’t stop eating. I started going? to OA three years ago and it has changed my life. Have you tried following the steps? I am constantly working them, because without them I would be lost. There is no way I could maintain a healthy relationship with food if I didn’t work the steps in order to relieve me of my mental obsession of going back to eating. (continued)

@hkrsamm Eating is also a pleasure and I like that ! I prefer to be chubby and have this pleasure than to be skinny and frustrated!
replace real pasta with rice pasta (tastes JUST the same) try to replace red meats with more protien rich veggies, cheat on the weekends, dont starve yourself
eat lots of littttle meals through the day instead of having big meals, make sure to give yourself LOTS of healthy options for your meals so you dont get bored, drink smoooothieeees <3 work out, drink LOTS of water, and voila, healthy body +digestive system+more energy+better life
@herheartjumps so true ! I love eating and I’m chubby. My weight fluctuated but now I’m fine with my body. I’m at my highest weight and my bf loves that, so I don’t care
