Scott & Sean- Q&A- Ep. 11

(0:55)- Toby Manley Hi Scott My names Toby and I have a question about basic carbs. I’m 6ft and i weigh about 11.5 stone. I’ve been going to the gym for about 6 months and recently i was offered a free ‘nutrition seminar’ by a personal trainer. He basically tried to get me to spend £300 a month on his training, but more importantly, he said to build muscle quickly and tone you can’t eat pasta, rice, potato or bread of any kind. Is this correct? I only ever eat wholewheat bread/pasta/rice anyway. I don’t have a lot of money and foods like bread and wholewheat pasta/ rice are affordable and give me energy when I work out. You said yourself that you enjoy bagels and peanut butter in one of your nutrition videos so I’m hoping this trainer is wrong. I’m quite a lean individual and I have a six pack but it’s not super defined, so should I cut out on bread etc to get more definition? (8:05)- Shridhar TM Hey Scott Let me introduce myself first, my name is Shridhar n ‘m from Bangalore, India. I am just like one of 1000s u might have met who has that elusive dream about having a six packs….. I stand 165cms and weighed over 80kgs a couple of years back. With lot of dedication and determination, I was successful in losing that extra weight and now I am about 58Kgs, however I’m still not happy, coz now I look skinny and a lot of weight training n protein supplements have not helped me get my dream body. I am so obsessed with six packs and have put my heart n soul and tried

Oh THANK YOU Sean. Everybody, please just eat the whole egg and quit your whining already. The yolk has tons of enzymes and vitamins that strengthen immune system and support muscle development. Eat that yolk as RAW as you can stand it – preserve the natural vitamin D!! Think Rocky.

@TaylorSwiftBMine hahaha if its 120-130 then your heart rate is really low. The pounding feeling comes from the weed. It happens to me too even when i am not working out, so it has nothing to do with the green. You should check out my channel, cuz i upload free warm up, workout, stretching and ab routine videos! @scotthermanfitness Hey boys my name’s Jordon and im from British Columbia, Canada. I often smoke pot before i workout because i find i am more concentrated and intune with the work out, but sometiems my heart feels like its pounding REALLY hard haha so i hop on to a treadmill with sensors to checkmy BPM (beats per minute) and its often 120-130. not sure if I should continue the smoking before or just go without, any comments?? Thanks Scott.

@laurenssius I do incline, decline and flat but I might start some cables into the routine.. I’ll give it a go.. Thanks

  13. Gandon95 says:

I like to eat may carbs, then wait an hour for my food to digest. Then I have the full feeling w/o feeling bloated.

  14. sanitary103 says:

@domdibom this ain’t scott but I did wrestle in high school and cut weight quite a bit. I would go to a more protein based diet (lean chicken, beef, fish) and plenty of vegetables. that will lower your body fat. watch fluid intake about 24-28 hours prior to weigh ins but don’t dehydrate! that’s a huge mistake! throw in a power bar before working out to get through practice.
