Thank you so much for your wonderful insight on vegetarian/vegan diet plans. I’m currently a lacto-ovo vegetarian who’s planning going vegan eventually. All of your recipes always look so gorgeous and I think to myself “Going vegan won’t be as hard as some people make it out to be. Look at all of these delicious things I could be having!” Keep up the great work!

I just love your videos and always find them helpful. I have been moving over to a Vegan Diet for a while now and have really enjoyed the recipes that you have shared!
It has been making it easier for me since they taste great! Please keep up the good work we all really appreciate it :)

@MegaJudy123 Yeah, that would be frustrating… Certain foods/spices will help rev up your metabolism and/or help digestion – ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, kelp (or iodine) & greens. Also – processed foods (incl white flour, sugar, etc) will really throw your body’s balance off in various ways, so avoiding them can make a huge difference. I don’t think everyone has to go fully vegan, but if you think of most of your meals as vegan it can help with weight loss and general health.

@barbnoon1 Very inspiring, thanks for posting, and good for you!! It definitely is not as easy, even though I’m not there yet I can understand ;)

@sewmommysew Sugar, yeah, I hear that! Fruit, like deathwisk99 mentioned, is a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth while staying healthy. What I like to do is occasionally take 3 days, or a week if I can, and do a detox. What kind of detox is up to you, but I often do a raw food detox and say absolutely no treats and only eating when I feel real hunger. Just a few days, and not only does it get your body off any addictions it also reminds me mentally how easy it can be and how good it feels :)

@MegaJudy123 It probably would help. I can’t imagine eating meat, dairy & carbs & sometimes having dessert because at my age I would definitely gain weight doing that! Most people lose weight on a vegan diet – just don’t fall in love with homemade soy ice cream with melted Ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate chips like I am! LOL! (Limiting chocolate chips to 25 chocolate chips per day is hard!) I take fruit to work, & use a little ground flax seed & wheat germ on cereal for nutrients!

@barbnoon1 That was nice to read. Keep it up !

@sewmommysew if you follow the 80/10/10 like alot of us you’ll learn that high carb sugar’s from ripe fruit is your friend, and that every cell in your body runs on glucose.

  19. MegaJudy123 says:

My metabolism has definitely slowed down, even when I eat right all week and exercise I still only loose 1 pound and a bit. It is so frustrating I am not a vegan eater but I find your ideas might be the key to not only better health, but maybe a loss of weight a little quicker. What do you think?

  20. da1sinister1 says:

    heather you are beautiful

I’m still as goofy as ever and at times feel very young, but I’m definitely aging! Still, I haven’t been sick in 3 years – exercise and healthy living. I’ve been vegan for almost 1-1/2 yearsf and I just love it! Along about age 51 I found my metabolism slowing and I put on 8 pounds, and now, at age 54, I just can’t eat the calories I used to eat. I’m slowly taking it back off, but it is harder than when I was young! I started doing stairs at work on my lunch hour and I actually like it!

ive been trying to go vegetarian/vegan on and off for a while now.. i think as i get older (im nearly 23 so still pretty young) my down fall is sugar! i crave it all the time n i know if i can just break from it i wont crave it anymore .. .but its soo hard i gave up on my healthy eating for about 3 months and gained 15lbs!! so that was a wake up call n im trying much harder now.. its hard to fine quick healthy meals .. or it seems hard anyway… i love your vids!
